一つずつ見ていきましょう。
"Laugh through the pain"
laugh は動詞の笑う、through は一つの地点からもう一つの地点までを
記号の～のように通り抜けるイメージ、painは痛み ですよね。
なので、「pain を laugh して通り過ぎる」
→ 辛いor深刻な状況で笑ってごまかそうとする、もしくは
笑ってジョークにして乗り越えようとする というような意味があります。
この場合、その前にこれがbig oneだ。これが大ダメージだ。と言っているのに、大したことないよ！と強がって笑っていることから

と同じです。この場合 shut を動詞で使っています。

で、これらから分かるように、shut ～ down は
- ビジネスを一定期間もしくは永遠に中止すること
- 強制してビジネスを止めること（force）
- 機械の電源を切ること
これらの意味で、ビジネスの意味で使う場合が主なのがわかります
そして今回は２個目の意味で使われています。
本文を書き替えるとしたら、
